The monophyly of the tribe Anaidini Nikolajev is tested and phylogenic relationships among the genera based on morphological data are presented. The genus Anaides Westwood is revised, seven new species are described including a fossil species from the Dominican Republic amber (Miocene), and one species is placed on synonymy. The biogeography of the genus Anaides is also addressed.
