A sensor comprised of a closed-cell polyethylene sheet with a silver particle circuit and sandwiched between two wooden pieces were connected to a datalogger for testing sensor accuracy in detecting foraging activity of field populations of the eastern subterranean termite. The results indicated that the sensor is more dimensionally stable and produced less false positive responses than wooden sensors used previously.
